A man allegedly told police he punched an ATM because it gave him too much cash, and was arrested after bank officials said the attack caused at least $5,000 in damages.
Police charged Michael Joseph Oleksik, of Merritt Island with criminal mischief after a disturbance at the Wells Fargo bank branch at 834 N. Cocoa Boulevard, in Cocoa.
Authorities said Oleksik can be seen on surveillance video standing at the ATM, pummeling the electronic teller’s touch screen. Oleksik also said that he was in a hurry for work and apologized for the damage to the bank’s ATM.

An unidentified man made a Jacksonville beer run into a Florida convenience store carrying a live alligator with its mouth taped shut. Video shows he walked in with the gator toward the counter, asking, “Ya’ll aint out of beer are you?”
He then sees someone in the back of the store and says, “Is he taking the last bit of beer? You aren’t taking the last bit of beer are you?”
The man with the gator jokingly runs at the other man as people in the store laugh.
He then grabs a 12-pack of beer.

A man who allegedly broke into St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park and jumped into a pool of crocodiles was found bloody and crawling through a woman’s yard, authorities said. As captured on surveillance video, one of the crocodiles attacked the man’s leg. The man, who left his clothing and a single Croc shoe behind, then managed to climb up a zipline platform and made his way out of the park into a residential community.
St. Augustine Police arrested Brandon Hatfield, 23, on charges of burglary, criminal mischief and violation of probation.
Alligator farm director John Brueggen said he was concerned for the man, but also said “protection against the lunacy and erratic behavior of nighttime trespassers is nearly impossible.”
