Memphis' Hardaway cleared of NCAA violations

An independent panel has ruled that Memphis basketball coach Penny Hardaway didn’t violate NCAA rules by providing benefits to prospective student-athletes, but Memphis is on probation through Sept. 26, 2025, and must pay fines for committing violations.
