Chase Claypool’s incredible fourth-quarter catches from all angles (Video)

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool brought in the dub with clutch fourth-quarter catches, and there’s not enough angles to revel in them.

“We got the dub, baby! It was a must, man! Love you guys for sticking with us…until next week! Claypool out!”

After a key 20-18 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the 2-4 Pittsburgh Steelers reeled in a win at home in unlikely circumstances. With Kenny Pickett sidelined due to a concussion, Mitch Trubisky was sent into the third-quarter fray in a one-point game.

Trubisky led the Steelers to a win after all, and it’s all thanks to Chase Claypool.

Steelers Nation has had a complicated relationship with Claypool, who has been lauded for his big games as much as he’s been torn down for dropping the ball. But in Week 6, everything came up Claypool — every necessary third down conversion, that is.

Claypool was the unabashed star of the show, hauling in all seven targets for 96 yards and a touchdown as he led the team in catches. Claypool’s performance proves that he’s endlessly working on his craft, getting key receptions in moments when it mattered most.

For anyone who wasn’t glued to their television for the riveting match, here is every clutch Claypool reception that led the Steelers in a must-win matchup.

Every clutch fourth-quarter Chase Claypool catch that gave the Steelers the dub

For starters, the Steelers had two drives in the fourth quarter: one that resulted in a touchdown, and a final one that allowed them to run out the clock and win the game.

The eight-play, 71-yard touchdown drive primarily featured runs by Najee Harris, but it culminated in a six-yard endzone grab by Claypool.

After the Bucs scored a touchdown, making it 20-18, the Steelers had to keep the ball out of their hands with 4:38 left on the clock.

With 3:07 left, Trubisky and Claypool kept the drive alive with a 17-yard grab.

Then, for the final pass of the game, Trubisky tossed it to Claypool near the sideline for an unbelievable 26-yard grab.

In the fourth quarter alone, Claypool made critical third-down conversations that made all the difference in the outcome.

Claypool has been blamed for his share of Steelers losses, but today, he was indispensable in ensuring the Steelers landed a much-needed win.
