Za’Darius Smith busted out a Jared Allen tribute sack celebration

Minnesota Vikings linebacker Za’Darius Smith sacked Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray, and he busted out a great celebration.

The Minnesota Vikings may have been without defensive end Jared Allen for nearly a decade at this point, but his sack celebration legacy has proven to live on when Za’Darius Smith busted out a tribute after executing a sack of his own.

Smith sacked Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray, the Minnesota home crowd got loud and Smith kneeled down, ‘stirred the pot’ and raised his arms in victory, jumping and running with his teammates back into position.

If it happens to look familiar, it’s because Allen used to do the exact same thing when playing for the Vikings.

To make things even more epic, Allen is at the game and is to be inducted into the Ring of Honor at halftime. So it looks to be a thought-out tribute.

Jared Allen was in attendance during Za’Darius Smith’s tribute celebration

Allen is certainly having a memorable day with the Vikings. Though he hasn’t played an NFL game since 2015 and hasn’t played with Minnesota since 2013, he’s quite possibly having one of the most special attendances possible.

He’s a memorable player in the franchise and the league in general. He played in the Pro-Bowl five times and was selected for the All-Pro team four times. He also recorded 136 sacks over his 12-season career.

Allen was a beloved player in Minnesota, and many are thrilled to watch his Ring of Honor induction.

As if the induction wasn’t already exciting enough, Allen got to see a direct tribute to himself by a great player as well.
