Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk Stoke Rumors They’re Dating Again With PDA-Filled Walk
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck may not be the only rekindled celebrity couple making headlines this week. Irina Shayk and Bradley Cooper, who broke up in June 2019, sparked rumors they’re dating again when they were photographed being very affectionate with each other while on a walk in New York City. The former and maybe now back-on couple share five-year-old daughter Lea de Seine, who they welcomed in 2017.
Daily Mail outright wrote that Shayk and Cooper “CONFIRM they’ve rekindled their romance as they pack on the PDA during NYC stroll,” though the two haven’t yet said anything about their relationship, and PDA wasn’t that extreme.
The reality is the two are a little handsy in photos, with Cooper wrapping an arm around Shayk, and Shayk having her hand on Cooper’s behind in one shot. Both their arms are wrapped around each other in another. You can see the photos here. It’s cuddly and couple-like, but it’s not totally a direct, overwhelming confirmation of a reconciliation.
Shayk and Cooper have been seen at the same industry events, including the CFDA Awards last night, which both attended separately. Reconciliation has been on their mind for months, according to Page Six.
In early September, a source told the outlet that the two were considering getting back together and expanding their family. At the end of August, Shayk shared a photo of the two on vacation together.
A source told Page Six of the trip, “It was a real family getaway and they are considering getting back together. She would like her daughter to have a sibling.”
“They both [Bradley and Irina] haven’t gotten serious with anyone else and they are both into the idea of having a kid,” the source continued. “It’s not Bennifer 2.0 where the other person is always in the back of their head, it’s more like, ‘why not?’ They have to deal with each other anyway since they are parents together. They are both thinking, maybe it’s time to finally really settle in.” The two, the outlet was told, “get along well and enjoy each other’s company.”
Shayk and Cooper aren’t likely to talk about their relationship regardless of its status.
In March 2021, Shayk spoke to ELLE about Cooper and why she keeps details of their dynamic to herself. “I never understood the term co-parenting,”she started when asked about their relationship then. “When I’m with my daughter, I’m 100 percent a mother, and when she’s with her dad, he’s 100 percent her dad. Co-parenting is parenting.”
“My past relationship, it’s something that belongs to me, and it’s private,” she said of her and Cooper’s time together romantically. “It’s just a piece of my inner self that I don’t want to give away.”
