Aaron Rodgers wasn’t happy with Matt LaFleur’s play-call (Video)

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers wasn’t happy with a play called by head coach Matt LaFleur at the end of regulation.

The Green Bay Packers were desperate to end their five game losing streak in Week 10. While they did have a tough opponent on paper in the Dallas Cowboys, the Packers held their own. In fact, they tied the game late in the fourth quarter on rookie wide receiver Christian Watson’s third touchdown of the game.

Yet, the team had a chance to try and avoid overtime with a field goal or touchdown. But on third down, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur called a passing play despite being one yard shy of the first down. The pass fell incomplete, and LaFleur called out the punting unit.

FOX cameras cut to the sideline and showed Rodgers yelling at LaFleur.

It must be prefaced in saying that disagreements do happen. Both Rodgers and LaFleur want to win, and the quarterback didn’t agree with the head coach on the call.

Green Bay was down 28-14 in the fourth quarter, but they were able to tie things up after scoring two touchdowns on consecutive drives. Those scores came on passes from Rodgers to Watson, who scored his first three touchdowns of his career in this game alone.

In overtime, Green Bay’s defense prevented Dallas from putting points on the board after pressuring quarterback Dak Prescott to throw an incomplete pass intended on fourth down at the 35-yard line. Then, Rodgers connected with receiver Allen Lazard on a 36-yard pass.

Just look at how pumped Rodgers was after the throw.

Kicker Mason Crosby was successful on the team’s 28-yard attempt to clinch the 31-28 win and end the losing streak at five games.

Wins cure all disagreements.
