Eagles: A.J. Brown destroys Titans in first meeting against former team
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown destroyed his former team, the Tennessee Titans, in their first meeting since offseason trade.
On the first night of the 2022 NFL Draft, trades left fans and media shocked. One of the biggest moves was the decision to trade Tennessee Titans star wide receiver A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for the No. 18 and 101 picks in that year’s draft. The Eagles immediately rewarded Brown with a four-year, $100 million contract.
In his first season away from Tennessee, Brown is playing a significant role in the Eagles’ 10-1 start to the season entering Week 13. But this weekend, Brown had the chance to face the Titans for the first time since the trade.
To say that Brown had a huge game against his former team is, well, a gigantic understatement.

In the beginning of the second quarter, Brown broke through Titans defensive back Kristian Fulton’s coverage and had a walk-in 40-yard touchdown on a pass from quarterback Jalen Hurts. This came after his 40-yard score was called back the play prior following a review.
Let’s just say that Brown was pretty hyped about scoring a touchdown against his former team.
Brown wasn’t done just there. Not only did he put up points against the team that traded him, but he probably made the catch of the entire week.
In the third quarter, Hurts heaved up a pass along the left sideline to Brown, who caught the football off of cornerback Tre Avery’s shoulder pad!
Points on the scoreboard and style points for the highlight reel.
The Titans traded Brown away after the two sides couldn’t reach a deal on a new contract, but the wide receiver is doing just fine in Philadelphia. He’s part of a high-powered offense who lost just one game this season on a team that could be legitimate Super Bowl contenders out of the NFC East.
