The NFL Pro Bowl rosters were revealed on Wednesday night. Here are five of the biggest snubs from the league’s All-Star Game.

This season’s Pro Bowl game is going to be much different than in year’s past. No longer will there be the tackle game that had been criticized for lack of effort from the players participating. Instead, it will be headlined by seven-on-seven flag football games, with the AFC and NFC being coached by Peyton and Eli Manning, respectively. Additionally, the Pro Bowl Games will have skills competitions throughout the week.

Voting in the Pro Bowl began on Nov. 15 and closed on Dec. 15, with the the AFC and NFC rosters being revealed on Wednesday, Dec. 21. Well, we have the official list of Pro Bowlers for both teams.

As is the case every year, there are going to be some names that didn’t make the cut who probably should have. This year, here are five players who were snubbed from the Pro Bowl this time around.

There are going to be players who received the most fan votes at their position, but ultimately miss out. That’s because the fans count for one third of the vote. The remaining two thirds of the vote belong to players and coaches.

When it comes to offensive guards, Kevin Zeitler received the most votes in the entire NFL with 87,035. Yet, he failed to make it to the Pro Bowl. Making the Pro Bowl over him are Joel Bitonio of the Cleveland Browns, Quenton Nelson of the Indianapolis Colts, and Joe Thuney of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Zeitler ranked fourth among all guards in passing blocking by Pro Football Focus with a grade of 80.5. For those curious, Zeitler has allowed just two sacks on 851 snaps played through 13 games played, per PFF.

With this latest snub, Zeitler has now gone 11 years without a Pro Bowl nomination.
