Try not to cry watching Commanders’ Jeremy Reaves hear Pro Bowl news

Watch the emotional moment after Washington Commanders safety Jeremy Reaves found out from head coach Ron Rivera that he made the Pro Bowl.

For those who believe that players don’t care about making the Pro Bowl or not, you can officially put that argument to rest for good.

On Wednesday, the NFL officially announced the AFC and NFC rosters for the newly named Pro Bowl Games. The Washington Commanders had four representatives named to the NFC team — wide receiver Terry McLaurin, defensive lineman Jonathan Allen, punter Tress Way, and safety Jeremy Reaves.

Washington’s social media team released a video of head coach Ron Rivera informing each player that they made the Pro Bowl. When McLaurin and Way found out that Reaves made the team, you could see the joy on their faces. When Rivera brought Reaves into his office to let him know that he’ll be the starting special teamer for the Pro Bowl Game, the safety became emotional.

It’s hard not to get emotional seeing Reaves. As you saw, Way was in tears after finding out that his teammate made the Pro Bowl. He even asked Rivera if he could remain in the office to see Reaves’ reaction when finding out the news.

This has been quite the year for Reaves. After entering the league as an undrafted free agent out of South Alabama, originally signing with the Philadelphia Eagles, Reaves was waived by the team ahead of the 2018 season. Shortly thereafter, Reaves joined Washington.

Reaves never made it onto the 53-man roster out of training camp with Washington. But that all changed this year, as he was named to the active roster for the start of this season.

Playing in all 14 of Washington’s games this season, he recorded 11 solo tackles and six assisted tackles.

When it comes to Pro Bowl announcements, nothing is topping Reaves’. A truly incredible and emotional moment.
