DeVonta Smith robbed the Salvation Army (no, not really) after big-time TD
Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith had a monster game, even in the loss, against the Cowboys but his TD celebration was truly one of a kind.
With the holiday season upon us, it’s also time for NFL players to figure out ways to use the charity’s large red buckets featured in many stadiums — most prominently at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys — for their various celebrations. But Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith definitely took a route that most people wouldn’t have expected.
In the shootout between the two NFC East foes, the former Heisman Trophy winner and Alabama product couldn’t be stopped as he made one play after another. After his second score of the night, though, Smith took the shootout metaphor to a whole other level.
Smith crossed into the end zone and then walked out of the back as he then pretended to put on a ski mask, kick down a door and then rob the Salvation Army bucket in one of the wildest touchdown celly moves we’ll ever see.

That’s not one we’re likely to see again, but props to Smith on the creativity!
And if anyone earned the right to celebrate so crazily on Christmas Eve from the Eagles, it was definitely Smith. The former first-round pick racked up eight receptions on 12 targets for a team-high 113 yards and to go along with two huge touchdowns. Oh, and let’s not forget him making at least three highlight-reel grabs in big moments.
Unfortunately, Smith’s celly and numbers weren’t enough to get the Eagles the win. The Cowboys used a couple of turnovers to capitalize on good field position and ultimately scrape by with a 40-34 home win over their rivals, keeping the division race alive.
But if it’s a celebration battle, make no mistake, the Eagles and DeVonta Smith have that in the bag.
