49ers vs. Raiders prediction and odds for Week 17 (Buy low on Las Vegas)
The Las Vegas Raiders had their playoff hopes all but extinguished when they fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 16.
Now, they have to face the hottest team in the NFL, the San Francisco 49ers.
Do the Raiders have any chance at all to pull off the upset? The odds may surprise you.

49ers vs. Raiders Prediction and Pick
With the spread only set at six points, the 49ers are the obvious, slam dunk bet of the week, right? RIGHT?!
Not so fast. Don’t let recency bias for their terrible performance against the Steelers sway you too hard one way. The Raiders’ offense is still good enough to hang with any team in the NFL. They’re 9th in yards per play and 10th in points per play.
Obviously they have a tough challenge in the 49ers defense this week, but don’t completely discount for Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas defense has surprisingly played well in recent weeks, ranking eighth in opponent yards per play over their last three games.
It’s an ugly bet for sure, but I think it’s the right one to make. Plug your nose and back the Raiders to keep the game close.
