Rams vs. Seahawks prediction and odds for Week 18 (Don’t count out Los Angeles)

The Seattle Seahawks, despite a subpar second half of the season, can still make the NFL Playoffs this week.

If they can beat the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday afternoon, it will all come down to Sunday Night Football. The entire city of Seattle will be cheering for the Lions against the Packers, because if Detroit pulls off the upset, the Seahawks will get the final wild card spot in the NFC.

But, before they can even concern themselves with the Lions and Packers, they’ll have to get past the Rams.

Let’s dive into the odds for the game.

Rams vs. Seahawks odds, spread, and total

Rams vs. Seahawks betting trends

  • Rams are 5-12-1 ATS in their last 18 games
  • Rams are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games against Seahawks
  • Rams are 0-6 straight up in their last six road games
  • Seahawks are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games
  • The UNDER is 5-2 in the last seven meetings between these two teams
  • OVER is 5-1 in the Seahawks’ last six games played in January.

Rams vs. Seahawks prediction and pick

Don’t fall for the trap that people will be repeating this week; “It’s a must-win game for the Seahawks, gotta bet on Seattle.”

Unfortunately, just because a game means more for a team doesn’t mean they’re going to win the game, let alone cover the spread.

I have a lot of concerns about the Seahawks. Over their last three games, they’re 25th in net yards per play at -0.6. They also haven’t been great at home this season, ranking 27th in net yards per play on their home field.

Meanwhile, the Rams, who haven’t had anything to play for in weeks, rank 22nd in net yards per play over their last three games, better than they’ve ranked all season.

Let’s not forget the Seahawks needed a last second drive to come from behind and beat the Rams back in early December. Now, the Rams have an upgrade at quarterback in Baker Mayfield, who is clearly playing with a chip on his shoulder.

Will the Seahawks win? Sure, maybe. But there’s no way I’m going to be laying 6.5 points on a team that has struggled the entire second half of the season.
