Robert Kraft, Patriots fans have no idea what pain is
Robert Kraft and the New England Patriots have no idea how unforgiving the NFL can be.
So much for Robert Kraft and the New England Patriots having a happy ending this January…
After being the Evil Empire for the better part of two decades, the Patriots cannot come with it now. No longer rolling down Rodeo, the Patriots have devolved pretty much into what they were before Tom Brady took over for Drew Bledsoe: Largely irrelevant. It has been a painfully long time since this AFC East franchise nearly became the St. Louis Stallions. The freaking Wyld Stallyns, bro!
There is nothing excellent about this team, only that they have gone four years without winning a playoff game. New England Patriots football doesn’t rule!
Robert Kraft and New England Patriots fans are seeing how the other half lives
Prior to Brady taking over under center, the Patriots were essentially the Atlanta Falcons, a team in a major media market that did not have a remote clue most times as to what it was doing. Yes, they both had players and made rare trips to the Super Bowl, but winning was not synonymous with those brands. Fate would have it, Brady finally lost to those dang Dirty Birds on Sunday, baby!
After seeing his franchise become the greatest thing since sliced bread, the same bread has grown moldy. Losing on the road to the Buffalo Bills in what was an emotional game for their AFC East rival was understandable, but not getting the No. 7 seed is still hard to process in Foxborough. It is not like Chaim Bloom is running your operation into the ground. Boston sports are better than this!
Ultimately, the Patriots dynasty is nothing more than a distant memory. Surely, they will put forth another competitive team like they have the last two seasons under Mac Jones, but it is just not the same. Pain heals. Chicks dig scars. Glory lasts forever. Unfortunately, the Patriots have less in common with the Washington Sentinels than they do with Shane Falco’s alma mater Ohio State.
The Patriots must decide if they are willing to swallow the red pill to experience the bitter truth.
