NFL mock draft: 3 teams Quentin Johnston could upgrade the offense for
TCU star Quentin Johnston is about to transform some NFL team’s receiving corps overnight.
Though he could return to school, TCU wide receiver Quentin Johnston projects as a top-16 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
The two-time all-Big 12 performer is a huge reason why the Horned Frogs not only made the College Football Playoff, but are actually playing for a national title. No matter what happens on Monday night vs. the defending national champion Georgia Bulldogs, Johnston’s TCU legacy is set. Thus, it would absolutely serve him to cash in what is about to be a massive payday from the NFL.
Here are three teams who could be in the mix to draft Johnston in the top half of the first round.

Tennessee Titans have a lot of problems, but Quentin Johnston may be a solution
Few teams collapsed down the stretch quite like the Tennessee Titans did. The two-time defending AFC South champions were unable to defend their crown vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars in Duval on Saturday night. Tennessee goes from the No. 4 seed in the AFC playoffs to picking just outside of the top 10 at No. 11 overall. Simply put, they need to get more dynamic on offense stat.
Trading away A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles seems to have been regrettable. Although Treylon Burks could be a star in the making as last year’s first-round pick, Johnston has been tied to the Titans in many recent mock drafts. Johnston would be coming off the board around where they are picking. Plus, Tennessee is probably not addressing the position of quarterback just yet.
Given that they play in an incredibly winnable division, the Titans can afford to use its high first-round pick on somewhat of a luxury item at wide receiver. The good news is Johnston does not appear to be a one-off in college. He would certainly make things better in the Titans receiving corps. However, it remains to be seen how the Titans replace their general manager, Jon Robinson.
Tennessee could be in play for Johnston, but other teams picking in their range make more sense.
