NFL Wild Card round games to bet before the lines move

The NFL Playoffs are officially set.

With that, betting lines have been released for all six wild card matchups.

In order to take advantage and getting the best odds possible, I’d recommend placing your bets early in the week. That’s especially the case for a few different wild card games.

Let’s take a look at the odds for all six games and then I’ll break down three games you should bet on sooner rather than later.

NFL Wild Card odds

Dolphins +10.5 vs. Bills

There are two games this weekend that involves a quarterback that is questionable to play. In this one, the current betting odds indicate that oddsmakers think that Tua Tagovailoa won’t be playing due to still being in concussion protocol.

Let’s not forget these two teams played in Week 15 in Buffalo, and the Bills were set as 7-point favorites. I would expect a similar line if oddsmakers assumed Tua was going to play.

So, bet this game accordingly. If you have an inkling that Tua will be under center for the Dolphins this week, then bet the Dolphins now before an announcement is made. If you think Tua will remain sidelined, bet on the Bills and hope they go with Skylar Thompson.

Since the line will likely move more if Tua is announced as starting as opposed to being out, I’d recommend taking the Dolphins now at +10.5.

Bengals -6.5 vs. Ravens

The other game involving a quarterback whose status is up on the air, is the AFC North matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens.

These two teams just played last week in Cincinnati and the Bengals were set as 11.5-point favorites. With this week’s line set at 6.5, that tells me that sportsbooks think Lamar Jackson could finally be back in the lineup.

For that reason, I’d bet on the Bengals. If Jackson is announced as starting, the line may move a point or two. But, if announce that Anthony Brown will be back at quarterback, expect this line to explode past the magic number of seven and settle in the double digits.
