3 Lamar Jackson trade destinations that haven’t been mentioned yet
The belief among NFL executives is that the Baltimore Ravens will trade quarterback Lamar Jackson this offseason. Here are three potential destinations that haven’t been mentioned.
The Baltimore Ravens‘ season has come to an end following their nail-biting, 24-17 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in the Wild Card Round. The team was without quarterback Lamar Jackson, who suffered a sprained PCL in his right knee back in Week 13. Just days ahead of the Wild Card game, Jackson sent out a tweet that said his knee was still unstable, and the announcement came after vague updates from head coach John Harbaugh.
During the broadcast of the Wild Card game, it was noted that Jackson didn’t make the trip with the team to Cincinnati. There was talk from Ravens players that they would have won if Jackson were playing. Then, one day after the loss, Jackson posted a message on his Instagram story which read:
“When you have something good,” Jackson posted. “You don’t play with it. You don’t take chances losing it. You don’t neglect it. When you have something good, you pour into it. You appreciate it. Because when you take care of something good, that good thing takes care of you too.”
This has all the making of an interesting offseason for the Ravens, since Jackson is set to become a free agent. But there was an update that Ravens fans won’t like.
NFL executives told Jason La Canfora of the Washington Post that they “strongly expect” the Ravens will place the franchise tag on Jackson and ultimately trade him to another team.
Jackson is going to be a much-pursued quarterback if he were to become available. He would be the top signal caller this offseason when looking at the options in free agency and the trading block.
Teams like the New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons, and Carolina Panthers have been linked to Jackson. But, let’s take a look at some outside the box. Here are three teams that should make a move for Jackson.
