Updated Super Bowl MVP odds (Mr. Irrelevant rockets up odds board)

There is still one more game left of Wild Card Weekend, but we already know seven of the eight teams that will compete in the Divisional Round.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles are awaiting their opponents for their first game of the postseason, and now we know who they’ll face. The Chiefs will host the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Eagles will host their division rival, the New York Giants.

The only team awaiting to find out who their opponent is, is the San Francisco 49ers, who will play the winner of the Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Speaking of the 49ers, remember when we all thought their season was over when Jimmy Garoppolo went down with an injury?

We had no faith in Brock Purdy, who was the final pick of the NFL Draft last year, but now here we are in mid-January and Mr. Irrelevant is nearing the top of the odds list to win NFL MVP.

Let’s dive into the latest odds.

Super Bowl 57 MVP Odds

Brock Purdy has strong chance to win Super Bowl MVP

What a story it would be for Brock Purdy, aka Mr. Irrelevant, to win Super Bowl MVP this year, and it may be more likely than you think.

The 49ers are two games away from heading to the Super Bowl, and we all know that the winner of the Super Bowl MVP award more often than not is given to a quarterback.

Outside of a shaky first half against the Seahawks, Purdy has been ultra impressive so far this season. He’s completing 671% of passes, averaging 8.1 yards per throw, and he’s thrown 13 touchdowns to four interceptions for a QB rating of 107.3.

Not bad for the last pick in the draft.

It’s a bit surprising to see his odds only slightly longer than Jalen Hurts’, but if you think the rookie can get it done, he’s available at +750.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
