The Eagles got to sit back and watch the playoffs last week, but here are five predictions on how they’ll perform against the Giants on Saturday night.

The New York Giants head to Philadelphia on Saturday night free of expectations. In sharp contrast, the Philadelphia Eagles need to knock New York out of the postseason if their season is going to be deemed a success. That puts Nick Sirianni’s team in a precarious position when this Divisional Round matchup kicks off on Saturday night.

The good news for Eagles fans is that they have a more talented roster. Brian Daboll can make life difficult for Philadelphia with his innovative game plan, but the Giants still face an uphill climb. Read on for five bold predictions on how this game will play out for the Eagles.

Bold predictions for Eagles vs Giants: Darius Slay will get an interception

Slay only tallied three interceptions during the regular season but his PFF grade of 73.1 still illustrates that he’s an above-average starting corner. Daniel Jones needs to be very careful when throwing the ball to Slay’s side of the formation.

Expect the veteran defensive back to elevate his level of play a notch or two for the postseason. He’s a guy who understands how to take advantage of the opposing quarterback’s mistakes. Jones has more than one error in his bag per game. One of those errant reads/throws is going to end up in Slay’s hands for a big turnover. The key for the Giants will be to make sure it doesn’t give Philadelphia’s offense a short field to exploit in the first quarter. That could knock New York out of this game before it truly gets going.
