Jennifer Lopez Wore a Naked Dress on the Red Carpet at the Shotgun Wedding Premiere

Jennifer Lopez brought out the most dramatic sheer dress of 2023 so far last night. The actress appeared at the Los Angeles premiere of her new movie Shotgun Wedding wearing a see-through Valentino haute couture gown adorned with sparkles and a yellow bow. Lopez wore her hair up in a bun and accessorized with silver drop earrings.

Lopez switched into a second sheer minidress, also Valentino haute couture, for the screening. She and her husband Ben Affleck were photographed sharing a kiss inside.

Lopez spoke about her and Affleck’s decision to elope in Las Vegas during her Jimmy Kimmel interview last night, the same day as her premiere. Lopez admitted she had “a little bit of PTSD” and was afraid of their second engagement also ending given the fact that their first one in the early 2000s “fell apart.”

Wedding planning was stressful, she said, and it was Affleck’s idea to wed in Vegas and take some of the pressure off. “One day, Ben just said, ‘Fuck it, let’s just go to Vegas and get married tonight,’” she recalled, via Page Six. “He said, ‘Go to rehearsal. When you get back here, I’ll have everything set up.’”

Lopez previously described the couple’s first breakup as being one of the most devastating things to ever happen to her. “I honestly felt like I was going to die. It sent me on a spiral for the next 18 years where I just couldn’t get it right,” she told Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 in November. “But now, 20 years later, it does have a happy ending. It has the most would-never-happen-in-Hollywood ending. ‘That would never happen. We’re not going to write that because nobody would believe it’ ending. It’s funny because when me and Ben got back together, he was like, ‘You never performed the songs [from This Is Me… Then]. You never did ‘I’m Glad.’ You never did this. You never did that.’ I was like, ‘You’re right. It was painful.’ It was a part of me then that I had to put away to move on and survive. It was a survival tactic, for sure.”
