Broncos are Sean Payton favorites: What a trade would look like

The Denver Broncos emerged as Sean Payton favorites on Monday morning, scheduling a second interview with the former Saints head coach.

In scheduling a second interview with Denver, Sean Payton marked the Broncos as his likely favorite this offseason. Denver is the most desperate to win out of all his likely suitors, as they traded for Russell Wilson just last offseason.

Payton isn’t about to waste his time for a rebuild, that seems set in stone. While other organizations can offer him more flexibility and a quarterback of his choosing, Payton thinks he can fix Wilson, a former All-Pro passer in his own right.

These are the draft picks the Broncos have at their disposal:

Any further loss of capital would cripple a franchise that has serious roster holes to fill, and little cap space to do it. We wish Payton the best should he choose such a path.
