49ers vs. Eagles best first touchdown scorer picks for NFC Championship
What better way to kick-off the NFC Championship than cashing in on a first time touchdown scorer bet?
Sure, correctly picking the player to score the first touchdown of the game is an extremely difficult task, but if you do it correctly you can earn a big payout and plenty of excitement.
I’m up for the challenge to see if I can guess who will score first in the big game between the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles.
Let’s dive into my predictions, but first here are the odds for any player to score first:
49ers vs. Eagles first TD bets
- Christian McCaffrey +700
- A.J. Brown +950
- George Kittle +1200
Christian McCaffrey +700
Christian McCaffrey is the favorite to score first, and for good reason. He has found the end zone in eight straight games for the 49ers. You would have to go all the way back to Week 12 against the Saints to find the last time he didn’t score a touchdown.
The 49ers offense clearly revolves around CMC, so you have to think that their opening drive game script is going to center around McCaffrey as well.
A.J. Brown +950
A.J. Brown hasn’t found the end zone in his last two games, but lets not forget his ability to score. He racked up 11 touchdowns this season, and he’s still getting a huge amount of targets that should lead to more scores as long as the Eagles stay alive.
If an Eagles receiver scores the first touchdown, there’s a great chance that receiver is going to be A.J. Brown.
George Kittle +1200
Once Brock Purdy took over at quarterback, George Kittle became a touchdown machine. He has scored seven touchdowns in his last six games, so getting him at +1200 to score first on Sunday makes him the best value bet on the board.
