Brittany Mahomes calls out ’embarrassing’ Cincinnati mayor after Patrick Mahomes callout
Brittany Mahomes wasn’t having any of the Cincinnati mayor and his trolling of Patrick Mahomes before the AFC Championship Game against the Bengals.
Cincinnati mayor Aftab Pureval has made himself the central character of the lead-up to the Chiefs vs. Bengals in the AFC Championship Game.
He made a lame reference to “Burrowhead” during a city council meeting. Then he made a cringeworthy proclamation asking for a paternity test for Joe Burrow to check if he is Patrick Mahomes’ father.
Brittany Mahomes, the wife of the Chiefs quarterback, wasn’t impressed.
“WEAK. & embarrassing,” Mahomes tweeted in reply to Kansas City mayor Quinton Lucas commenting on his opposing mayor’s antics.
Her feelings on the whole trash-talking business were pretty clear from that tweet alone.
“Agreed,” Lucas replied. “No need to respond. KC’s got class. Cincinnati has Jerry Springer and no rings. See them Sunday.”

Of course, that wasn’t the end of Mahomes’ social media activity for the afternoon. She also retweeted a scathing retort from Kayla Nicole, the girlfriend of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
When Eric Stonestreet, Modern Family alum and noted Chiefs fan, weighed in on the Pureval’s proclamation, Mahomes was quick to quote tweet her approval.
“Dork,” Mahomes echoed the actor’s sentiments.
Mahomes’ apparently final comment on the matter summed it all up.
“Things are getting a little weird out here,” she tweeted.
Chances are it’ll stay weird as the weekend continues on.
Bengals fans feel disrespected over the perception of their team going into the playoffs in the first place. Kansas City fans are revved up for a chance at revenge after losing last year’s AFC title game to Cincinnati.
Mahomes and Burrow are two of the NFL’s brightest talents at quarterback and their on-field rivalry is only going to bring more debate, regardless of the result of the game. It’s only just begun.
