Las Vegas odds for Chiefs vs. Eagles in 2023 Super Bowl (Philly opens as favorite)

Super Bowl 57 will feature the two No. 1 seeds in the NFL playoffs, as the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles both advanced on Conference Championship Sunday.

This is the third time in four seasons that Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will be in the Super Bowl, and they did it in thrilling fashion. Harrison Butker nailed a 45-yard field goal to win it after Patrick Mahomes scrambled and took a late hit to move K.C. into field goal range.

The Eagles had a much easier time with the San Francisco 49ers, who dealt with injuries to quarterbacks Brock Purdy and Josh Johnson on Sunday. The 49ers’ season was marred by injuries at that position, and it allowed Philly to coast to an easy win.

Prior to the Conference Championship games, the Chiefs were +260 to win the Super Bowl and the Eagles were +250. Now, the latest odds have been released ahead of Super Bowl 57 between these two teams.

Chiefs vs. Eagles odds, spread and total for Super Bowl 57

The Eagles open as favorites in the betting market for Super Bowl 57 after a dominant run through the playoffs. Philly only had to face Daniel Jones and Purdy, so Mahomes will be a big step up in the Super Bowl.

Philly held the best record in the NFL for essentially the entire 2022 season, riding a strong defense and the play of quarterback Jalen Hurts. Mahomes and Hurts are both candidates to win the league’s MVP award this season.

The odds for this game will likely move as we approach Super Bowl Sunday, but Mahomes’ play against the Cincinnati Bengals showed that he can get things done on his banged up ankle.

This should be a closely contested game, as the spread suggests. If you bet on either of these teams prior to the AFC or NFC Championship Games, you got a terrific price at +260 or +250 for them to win this game.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
