Book it!: Notre Dame football unintentionally clowns itself with Super Bowl graphic

Book it! Former Notre Dame football star Ian Book is heading to the freaking Super Bowl, baby!

Of course, Notre Dame would make a big deal about former Fighting Irish star quarterback Ian Book heading to the Super Bowl.

While Book was an outstanding quarterback for the Golden Domers, arguably the best signal-caller of the Brian Kelly era in South Bend, he has one career game played in the NFL to his name. Book was a fourth-round pick by the New Orleans Saints in the 2021 NFL Draft. Now, he serves as the Philadelphia Eagles‘ third-stringer behind Jalen Hurts and Gardner Minshew. What a room!

Check out this sweet graphic put out by the Notre Dame football Twitter account. It is as epic as it is cringeworthy. Like a bright light for moths, we simply cannot look away. I mean, how could you?

Philadelphia will face the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 57 at State Farm Stadium on Feb. 12.

Notre Dame made sure everyone knew that Ian Book is going to the Super Bowl

So is Book going to play or not? No, no way. We may see the Jockstrap King in all his glory well before we see the only Notre Dame ACC runner-up quarterback to ever grace god’s green earth. To be frank, this graphic is like something you would get in the mail for graduating from high school. Your indoor kid may not get along with this cocky C student, but you do go way back with his dad!

But you know what? It is super, duper cool to see a Golden Domer playing for a championship, bruh. The best part is Book has Bama on his team in the form of Hurts and 2020 Heisman Trophy-winning wide receiver DeVonta Smith. Iron sharpens iron in the Yellowhammer State, as the Iron Bowl is a bigger deal for those who grew up in and around Birmingham. I wish I was kidding, y’all…

Ultimately, Book is one game away from Chase Daniel finessing his way to a Super Bowl ring. I mean, he could have lost games in December while Hurts was hurt, but Minshew Mania is a walking advertisement for jorts, long cut and living in a van down by the river. Whether it is the Delaware or the Schuylkill, it is about to be painted green like the good, ole Empire State Building.

As long as Book wears a Mummers Day Parade costume like Jason Kelce, it will be most splendid!
