Aaron Rodgers next team odds now have a heavy favorite on top

Where will Aaron Rodgers end up? The odds are moving in one clear direction.

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers might have seen the last of each other on the same sideline. Last we heard, Rodgers thinks the Packers are moving down a path that doesn’t involve him, and he’s already shut down one possible option outside of Green Bay.

But if I were a betting man, I’d say he’s not going to end up in Green Bay next season. He’ll either be retired or playing for one of the other 31 teams in the NFL.

It seems as if sportsbooks agree.

Aaron Rodgers next team odds are leaning in Las Vegas Raiders future

DraftKings Sportsbook recently posted odds on who Rodgers’ next team would be. According to Sports Illustrated, the leading team was the Raiders at -450, an implied probability of over 80 percent.

That’s not a massive shock. Davante Adams has been very publicly recruiting Rodgers on his social media, and Rodgers has acknowledged that recruitment himself. But that’s a very modest payout for a situation that has a lot of moving parts.

If Rodgers wants to go to Vegas and the Packers are going to trade him, it can probably be done. But there may be teams willing to put together a more attractive offer for the Packers. Are you really willing to say there’s a greater-than 80 percent chance Rodgers plays his next game in silver and black?

Vegas is going to win here one way or another. Either sportsbooks are going to get a whole lot of money on people betting that the Raiders land Rodgers, or the football team in town will reunite Rodgers and one of his favorite receivers.

Adams and Rodgers became the most productive touchdown duo in Packers history in late 2021 before the pair was split after Adams was traded to the Raiders last offseason. With Derek Carr positioned to be moving out of Vegas, it creates a hole that Rodgers could easily fill. A move over to the AFC for Rodgers would only make the conference more densely competitive.
