3 dumbest questions asked to the Eagles at Super Bowl media night
Super Bowl media night gave reporters access to Eagles players and coaches ahead of the biggest game of their lives. Some came with truly dumb questions.
The Eagles landed in Glendale, AZ for the Super Bowl on Sunday but the true Super Bowl week festivities didn’t get going until Sunday night. That’s when the media got the chance to pepper them with questions about anything and everything.
Andy Reid got to express his love for Philadelphia. Patrick Mahomes got to update his injury status.
Of course, some reporters took the opportunity to ask some of the most cringy and dumb questions you could imagine.
3 dumbest questions the Eagles got at Super Bowl media night
The worst of the bunch was directed at head coach Nick Sirianni, who was asked if the game to decide the NFL championship was a “must-win.” Seriously.
That wasn’t the only questionable question sent Sirianni’s way. He dodged one about which player he wouldn’t let his daughter, who happens to be five years old, date.
That question asker might not have known the age of Sirianni’s daughter, but there was no way they were going to get an answer from the head coach either way. He shut it down quick.
Jalen Hurts faced the most cringe non-question from a media member who decided to use the face time with the Super Bowl quarterback to…apologize?
“Cool,” might be the coolest answer Hurts could have given to that remark by the reporter.
While Sirianni and Hurts fielded questions, Eagles fans recalled Alshon Jeffery’s take on media events ahead of Super Bowl LII in 2018.
“Honestly I think this s*** is terrible,” the wide receiver who played with the Eagles until 2020 said. “I think we could have stayed in Philly and come on Friday or Saturday.”
The week of Super Bowl festivities didn’t negatively impact Philadephia’s play against the Patriots. They went on to win 41-33 with a touchdown from Jeffrey himself.
This year’s batch of Super Bowl-bound Eagles will hope to respond similarly to all the hubbub by keeping their focus on the prize waiting at the end of the week.
