Beyoncé Just Dropped Intimate Behind-the-Scenes Footage of Her Grammys 2023 Night
Beyoncé didn’t allow the Grammys broadcast to offer the only glimpse of her history-making night becoming the most awarded artist of all time. The megastar just posted a video on Instagram, featuring her own footage of the evening. All three of her outfits were on display, along with an image of her posing in bed with her new Grammys. Her joy as she celebrated with her husband Jay-Z, her mom Tina Lawson, her longtime friend and Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland, and more was apparent.
The post provided a glamorous and poignant look at Beyoncé during one of the biggest moments in her career, and in Grammys history:
She reflected on her first three Grammy wins of the night in an Instagram she shared during the ceremony. At that point, she was tied for the most Grammy wins of all time.
“We won 3 y’all!” she wrote, while wearing a custom Balmain look and posing with the trophies. “To my Hive, thank y’all so much for all of your love and loyalty! Big thank you for the BREAK MY SOUL and CUFF IT wins!!! To The Dream, Tricky, HOV, and Big Freedia. I love y’all! Syd, I’ve always been such a fan of yours. Thank you. Nova Wav, Morten Ristorp, Raphael Saadiq, and Nile Rodgers, thank you for pouring into CUFF IT. Big thanks to Sabrina Claudio, Nick Green and Patrick Paige II. PLASTIC OFF THE SOFA is my favorite song on RENAISSANCE most days. It’s hard to pick though. Haaa. It feels great to be honored for the vocal performance. Thank you to all the talented vocalists who killed those beautiful TikTok renditions! I feel very grateful and filled with joy!”
When she won her final Grammy of the night, the award that pushed her over the edge for the record, she said onstage, “I’m trying not to be too emotional. I’m trying to just receive this night. I want to thank God for protecting me. Thank you, God. I’d like to thank my uncle Johnny who’s not here, but he’s here in spirit. I’d like to thank my parents, my father, my mother for loving me and pushing me. I’d like to thank my beautiful husband, my beautiful three children who are at home watching. I’d like to thank the queer community for your love, for inventing the genre. God bless you. Thank you so much to the Grammys. Thank you.”
