Patrick Mahomes OVER 18.5 rushing yards
Kansas City Chiefs @ Philadelphia Eagles

Tomorrow at 5:30 PM
“I’m not sure how fast Mahomes ran in the 40-yard dash at the combine, but I’m sure it’s faster than whoever is chasing him at any given moment.
“It seems like no matter what he’s able to escape and make a play with his legs whenever he needs to. He only ran it three times for eight yards against Cincy, but his ankle will be healthier with two weeks of rest before the Super Bowl.” — Josh Yourish
Kenneth Gainwell OVER 19.5 rushing yards
Kansas City Chiefs @ Philadelphia Eagles

“Based on recent performances, I love the OVER on Kenneth Gainwell’s rushing total.
“He has reached at least 35 rushing yards in three straight games, and he’s coming off a 26-yard receiving yard performance.
“Miles Sanders, the Eagles starting running back for the majority of the season, saw just 30% of snaps in the Conference Championship Game. That’s 12% lower than Gainwell. Expect him to see the ball enough times to cash the OVER on this one.” — Iain MacMillan
Travis Kelce OVER 79.5 receiving yards
Kansas City Chiefs @ Philadelphia Eagles
•
Tomorrow at 5:30 PM
“Who better to thrive in a pass-happy game script than Mahomes trusty weapon in Kelce? Kelce has been a zone buster for years now and he thrives in the postseason, going way over this number against the Jaguars (98 receiving yards) and narrowly missing it against the Bengals (78). In 12 career games with Patrick Mahomes as his quarterback, Kelce has gone over this total in nine of them.
“Simply put, when the games matter most, Mahomes finds Kelce.” — Reed Wallach
Jalen Hurts first touchdown scorer
Kansas City Chiefs @ Philadelphia Eagles
•
Tomorrow at 5:30 PM
“This season, Jalen Hurts has been the first touchdown scorer in six games for the Eagles, by far the most on the team.
“Hurts is going to see plenty of chances to use his legs against this Chiefs defense, and we can’t forget that the Eagles are the best team in the NFL at executing quarterback sneaks.
“This isn’t a huge price, but Hurts is by far the most likely player to find the end zone first for Philly.” — Peter Dewey
DeVonta Smith Super Bowl MVP
Kansas City Chiefs @ Philadelphia Eagles
•
Tomorrow at 5:30 PM
“While Mahomes is the overwhelming Chiefs player to win, I think there is some value taking a shot against Jalen Hurts of the Eagles in the Super Bowl MVP market. Why not go with his former Alabama teammate DeVonta Smith, who made the big early play in the NFC championship game on 4th and 6 on a deep pass from Hurts (which wasn’t actually a catch, but wasn’t challenged).
“Smith has a knack for making big plays since college and in a game that I expect to feature points I can see the receiver being leaned on by Hurts, who hasn’t been challenged to pass since hurting his shoulder in December.
“We have seen standout wide receiver performances win this honor as recently as last year with Cooper Kupp, so I think Smith at 30-1 is a nice longshot price.” — Reed Wallach
Trent McDuffie to record an interception
Kansas City Chiefs @ Philadelphia Eagles
•
Tomorrow at 5:30 PM
“Trent McDuffie had a fantastic rookie season and was a pivotal piece of the Chiefs defense when healthy. He has yet to record an interception, but now is as good of a time as any to get his first. He recorded seven pass deflections in 11 starts this season.
“You can bet on a few other players at shorter odds, but despite McDuffie still searching for his first takeaway, I love his value here at +680.” — Iain MacMillan
Super Bowl 2023 best prop bet
Patrick Mahomes UNDER 294.5 passing yards
Kansas City Chiefs @ Philadelphia Eagles
•
Tomorrow at 5:30 PM
We’re saving the best for last. My absolute favorite prop bet for Super Bowl 57 is for Patrick Mahomes to go UNDER his passing yards total of 294.5.
Bold bet, I know, but hear me out.
The Eagles led the NFL this season in opponent yards per pass attempt as well as opponent total passing yards per game, giving up just an average of 171 passing yards per game. That’s over 120 less than Mahomes’ set total.
Not only that, but the Eagles sport the best pass rush in the NFL, averaging over four sacks per game. Being able to pressure Mahomes is going to keep him from torching this Eagles secondary through the air.
I love the UNDER on his passing yards total on Super Bowl Sunday. — Iain MacMillian
