The 2022 NFL season is over, and the Kansas City Chiefs were officially the last team standing, as they defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 in Super Bowl 57. That victory was led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who lead the team to 24 points in four drives in the second half, and he earned Super Bowl MVP honors as a result. With that, the discussions have begun as to whether the Chiefs are heading to a dynasty.

BroBible’s Dov Kleiman pointed out that Mahomes is currently has the third-highest cap hit among quarterbacks in 2023 by way of his 10-year, $503 million contract extension with the Chiefs. Kleiman points out that he could fall down the list with Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson and Justin Herbert due for new contracts.

Well, Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons responded to this tweet, saying “man at some point it’s not about money no more!! It’s about winning!!”

In the aforementioned tweet, Parson’s teammate, Dak Prescott, is listed as the quarterback with the second-highest cap hit in 2023 at $49.13 million. For those wondering if Parsons took a shot at Prescott in his message, that’s probably not the case.

Prescott just completed the second year of his four-year, $160 million contract extension. He missed five games in 2022 due to a fractured thumb suffered in the season opener. He did return in Week 7 against the Detroit Lions. But in the final 11 games of the season, Prescott led the league in interceptions with 15. On the year, Prescott threw for 2,860 yards and 22 touchdowns while completing 66.2-percent of his passes.

Come playoff time, Prescott shined against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card Round, completing 25-of-33 pass attempts for 305 yards and four touchdowns, while rushing for 24 yards and one touchdown on seven carries in the 31-14 win. But against the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round, Prescott threw for 206 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions while completing 23-of-37 pass attempts in the 19-12 loss.
