The NFL rumors keep flying as the Cowboys are being connected to multiple blockbuster trades, Taylor Lewan has been released and much more.

With free agency just a few weeks away, with Aaron Rodgers on a darkness retreat, with Derek Carr floating in limbo and so much more going on, the NFL rumors have already started flying crazily around in the 2023 offseason.

It’s going to be a wild run through March and April with free agency and the 2023 NFL Draft with the way things are shaping up, so keeping up with the buzz out there is more important than ever.

With that in mind, these are some of the biggest NFL rumors going around on Wednesday, Feb. 22 that you should definitely keep in mind.

NFL Rumors: Taylor Lewan landing spots after release by Titans

The Tennessee Titans cleaned house in a series of cap-saving moves on Wednesday as they released Robert Woods, Randy Bullock, Zach Cunningham and most notably three-time Pro Bowler Taylor Lewan. Lewan broke the news by announcing it via his Bussin’ With the Boys podcast feed on Twitter.

Lewan, when healthy, has been a stalwart at left tackle for the Titans. Having said that, injuries have plagued him in recent years, most notably with him missing almost all of the 2022 campaign with a torn ACL, an injury he also suffered in the 2020 season as well.

Because of his health, he does come with a risky label as he enters free agency now. But he’s a risk that some teams should be willing to take.

No matter what the Chicago Bears do with Justin Fields, the offensive line needs drastic help and Lewan could be a worthwhile flier to take in order to do that. The Miami Dolphins have taken more swings on the O-line but the misses have been evident in the lack of protection for Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami backups. The Houston Texans could also try to steal the former division rival to pair Lewan with Laremy Tunsil. And don’t overlook other potential landing spots like the Las Vegas Raiders or New England Patriots either.

He might not be the All-Pro-caliber player he was a few years ago, but there should definitely be a market for Lewan.
