Patrick Mahomes is posting terrifying workout videos, a week after the Super Bowl.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes does not know how to quit. Or take a vacation apparently. Just one week after his team won Super Bowl 57, he’s already back to working out.
But we guess that’s what makes him the greatest right?
Bobby Stroupe, who is in charge of “health, performance & player development” for Mahomes shared a peek into a day of training which included showing Mahomes carrying a heavy object through the sand.
“MVP. Proud of your year round relentless dedication to the work. Not done yet. Let’s keep climbing,” he wrote in a post on Feb. 10 alongside a photo of himself training Mahomes.
On Feb. 22 he also shared a video of some of the work he and Mahomes were getting in to.
Stroupe spoke to Mens Journal about Mahomes’ training regime.
“During the season, we’re doing about eight to 10 hours of specialized training together [per week], in addition to the workouts and practice he has with the team,” hr told the outlet. “On a week where they’re playing on Sunday, we’re training Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Of course that adjusts if they’re playing on a different day. Once he’s in the flow of the season, training shifts to a dynamic set of days where we can get him ready to hit performance peaks when he needs to—especially during the playoffs and even more so for the Super Bowl.”
Mahomes and the Chiefs came from a deficit at halftime to win the Super Bowl and promptly got drunk at the parade. Perhaps that’s why Mahomes jumped back into training so fast.
