Bobbi Brown Shares Her ‘Favorite’ Daily Sunscreen That Gives Skin a ‘Velvety Finish’

When it comes to beauty and makeup, Bobbi Brown knows best. From her favorite cream to hydrate dry skin to the one product she recommends for a younger-looking neck, the 65-year-old makeup artist has all the best advice from decades of knowledge in the beauty industry—which is why we’re always taking notes whenever she shares a new favorite pick. Lucky for us, Brown has recently revealed another of her go-to products: the Supergoop! Play Everyday Lotion.

In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Brown shared the details of her daily self-care routine—and when asked about the beauty products she had used that day, the makeup mogul revealed that she had only put on one: sunscreen. Specifically, she relies on the Supergoop! Play Everyday Lotion for protecting her skin every day.

In fact, Brown had previously touted her love for the very same sunscreen to The Shop Edit in 2022, as one of the beauty products she thinks every woman needs. “Sunscreen is a must every day (not just in the summer) and SuperGoop! is one of my favorites,” she told the outlet at the time. “This sunscreen goes on clear and smooth, leaving my skin with a velvety finish.”

Powered with SPF 50, the Supergoop! sunscreen comes in the form of a lightweight, fast-absorbing daily lotion that’s suitable for all skin types. Not only does it provide protection from UV rays, it also helps hydrate and nourish the skin with the help of antioxidant-rich ingredients like sunflower & rosemary leaf extracts. Plus, it’s water- and sweat-resistant for up to 80 minutes.

With such benefits, it’s easy to see why Supergoop! is Brown’s go-to sunscreen—but it’s not just the makeup artist who swears by the product. It’s also Christie Brinkley’s favorite sunscreen for glowing skin—and it boasts over 5,000 five-star ratings on Amazon, with reviewers raving that the SPF goes on smoothly and absorbs quickly without leaving a white cast on skin.

“This sunscreen is a game changer,” writes one shopper. “It works beautifully, goes on light, doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin, and the bottle goes a long way. Plus the smell—incredible. Will definitely stick to this sunscreen for a long time.”

Another reviewer swears that it doesn’t even feel like sunscreen, writing: “I have NEVER encountered a sunblock that went on as cleanly or felt AS GOOD on my skin!…No greasiness on face or hands, it absorbs completely and leaves a freshly moisturized feeling on the face.”

Brown of course made sure to share some of her best tips for sunscreen during a recent interview with Prevention. “I always like to keep my sunscreen in the bathroom with my skincare,” she said. “I find if it’s by the door on the way out, you don’t always use it. I personally like to use it first before I put makeup on or moisturizer.”

As for applying your sunscreen, she says to always make sure “that you’re getting both sides of your face,” explaining, “It does age you when you have spots, so that’s a good thing to do.”

With Brown’s glowing stamp of approval, we’re definitely stocking up on the Supergoop! sunscreen—along with the rest of her go-to products that she uses in her beauty routine.
