Woman floored by man's 'aggressive moves' as he uses LinkedIn as a dating app – The Mirror

The woman was at a loss for words when the man burst into her DMs on LinkedIn and offered to take her out on a date – and people can’t decide if it’s a red or green flag
The world of dating is a tricky one to navigate sometimes, and although dating apps were supposed to make it easier for singletons to find love, they're not always the best place to find a lasting connection.
Sorting through countless profiles of people you're not interested in just to find the few singletons who do float your boat can be a draining and slightly depressing task, which is why one man took a less obvious approach when he found someone he'd like to get to know better.
Instead of finding her on a dating app or connecting with her on Twitter or Instagram, the man decided he'd take an "aggressive" approach and message her on the business-focused networking site, LinkedIn.
The woman who received the message, named Hannah Harmelin, took to TikTok to share a screenshot of the exchange from her LinkedIn DMs, as she said she couldn't believe the confidence the man had shown.
In the video, posted to her @hannahharmelin account, Hannah revealed that the DM read: "Hey Hannah – Skipping the line on a dating app and coming straight to you.
"Aggressive move, I know. Life's too short not to go for what I am highly interested in. Happy to connect regardless of your openness to meet."
The man signed off his message with "kindest regards" before adding his name, which Hannah had covered up so as not to expose the man's identity.
Commenters on the post were equally as baffled by the man's message, as many of them couldn't decide whether they saw it as a red flag or a green one.
One person said: "This is either the greenest or reddest flag I've ever seen, no in between."
Those who believed the message was a red flag said they would feel uncomfortable being approached on LinkedIn as it should be a "workspace", and said his moves were inappropriate.
But there were many others who said they found his confidence attractive and would give him a chance because of how honest he was about his intentions.
Someone said: "Maybe I'm just toxic, but I'm obsessed with this and you should definitely give him a chance."
While someone else added: "I feel like this automatically just gives him a date."
People are also desperate to know how Hannah navigated the situation, but as of the time of writing, she has not yet responded to those comments or posted an update video.
