Lady Gaga Rushed to Help During 2023 Oscars Red Carpet Incident and Fans Are Applauding Her

Lady Gaga certainly knows how to turn the phrase “fashionably late” at the 2023 Oscars red carpet.

The songstress dressed to impress at this year’s 95th Academy Awards. Her black gown looked a stark contrast against the newly minted champagne carpet. Straight off the Versace runway, the corseted silhouette was complemented by sheer mesh and a pointed bustier. What’s more, the structured boning exposed her torso and bottom. It was met by a belted drop-waist black skirt, complete with the Italian fashion house’s iconic Medusa symbol.

She elevated the look with a dazzling chain choker. Her makeup was just as bold. Lady Gaga applied a bright red lip with a dramatic black smoky eye that faded out toward her temples. Letting her outfit and makeup do all the talking, she styled her hair in a more subdued, slicked-back braided bun.

Despite arriving late, Lady Gaga took a moment to lend a hand to a photographer who fell down on the carpet. The moment happened as she gracefully made her way to the ceremony, waving to spectators. As she walked away, a loud commotion could be heard. She immediately noticed, turned and rushed to help the person up.

Fans praised the Oscar nominee after the clip was posted on Instagram. “She’s a real one ❤️,” one person wrote in the comments. “One more reason to love her ❤️,” another added. “She didn’t even hesitate! 👏👏👏👏,” a different user said.

It all follows after rumors swirled that the A Star is Born actress wouldn’t be able to attend. Reports said the superstar’s filming schedule for the Joker sequel would keep her from performing.

Earlier today, news broke that she’d perform her Oscar-nominated song “Hold My Hand” from Top Gun: Maverick. The multi-hyphenate could win her second Academy Award if the Top Gun: Maverick track wins the best original song.
