Cowboys fans are in utter shambles after Jerry Jones whiffed on Jalen Ramsey

Dallas Cowboys fans are so mad at Jerry Jones after he did not trade for Jalen Ramsey.

While Jalen Ramsey is taking his talents to South Beach, Dallas Cowboys fans are taking pitchforks with them to The Star to show owner Jerry Jones how they really feel about him.

The Los Angeles Rams traded their former star cornerback in principle to the Miami Dolphins for the No. 77 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and tight end Hunter Long. This trade will be processed once the new league year commences on Wednesday afternoon. Jones selected Ezekiel Elliott one pick ahead of Ramsey back in 2016 when he went to the Jacksonville Jaguars No. 5 out of Florida State.

One would have thought a transcendent talent like Ramsey would have thrived playing in Dallas.

Let’s just say Cowboys fans everywhere are in utter shambles over having missed out on this star.

Dallas Cowboys fans are so mad at Jerry Jones for not trading for Jalen Ramsey

The Cowboys are a team that can never seem to take the leap from good to great. It has been over a quarter of a century since America’s Team even played in the NFC Championship game. Only the Detroit Lions and the Washington franchise two names ago have had this long of a stretch of postseason futility in-conference. Dallas is talented enough to get to the conference title bout…

With where the Cowboys are in their competitive life cycle, they have even more reason to go for broke than a team like, I don’t know, the Dolphins, the same team who just traded for Ramsey! Miami is nowhere near the same class of AFC titans as the Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Kansas City Chiefs are and most definitely not Ramsey’s hometown team in the Tennessee Titans.

Frankly, a third-round pick and a random tight end was all it took for the Rams to part ways with their former Super Bowl champion defensive back. Although the Cowboys probably would have had to give up slightly more because they are in-conference, and also being the Cowboys, Ramsey was ripe for the taking. This trade makes Miami look better, L.A. look worse and Dallas look dumb.

Ultimately, this isn’t the first time Jones has found a way to massively disappoint his massive fan base and it won’t be the last time either. The clock is ticking on Jones being able to see the Cowboys hoist another Lombardi Trophy in his lifetime. Raising three in four years under two different head coaches in the early-to-mid-1990s was something else, but that was 30 years ago.

We can’t contain ourselves to see what spectacular players the Joneses use a third-round pick on.
