Davante Adams’ cryptic IG has fans guessing which QB he won’t talk about

Davante Adams is tired of talking about something, but his cryptic message on Instagram doesn’t make it clear if it’s Aaron Rodgers or Jimmy Garoppolo.

Things are definitely happening within the sphere of Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams this offseason. Not only is his longtime quarterback and Packers teammate Aaron Rodgers likely on the move, but his own team that he was traded to last offseason has some big changes at the quarterback spot.

Namely, after moving on from Derek Carr — Adams’ friend and former college teammate at Fresno State — the Raiders signed veteran Jimmy Garoppolo in free agency on Monday.

So when Adams took to Instagram stories on Monday as well to send a message that, if you haven’t been in contact with him recently, not to contact him now, there were roughly 40 things and two quarterbacks that could’ve been about.

Davante Adams posts cryptic Instagram and clearly doesn’t want to talk about…something?

Admittedly, the “Thanks” at the end is peak passive-aggressiveness that I’m all the way here for.

But is Davante Adams tired of getting asked about what Rodgers is going to do? Is he instead tired of people grilling him about how he feels with Garoppolo now being his quarterback in Las Vegas? Is he just getting a lot of spam messages from fake friends? The possibilities are endless.

Odds are that this is most likely about Garoppolo joining the Raiders as, frankly, Adams was traded to the silver and black seemingly on the promise that he’d be joining forces with his quarterback from Fresno State. Now he has another veteran coming into the building, one that he doesn’t have a relationship or rapport with.

Given how calamitous this offseason has already been in its infancy, though, you have to believe this won’t be the last we’ll hear from Adams.

Update: Adams added some clarity, saying the Instagram story was just about people looking for an inside scoop. He then iterated that he’s ready to get to work with Garoppolo.
