Jackson’s trade request could be a major catalyst to the Ravens and a potential trade partner coming together, and the Ravens’ Super Bowl odds have taken a hit as a result.

Jackson, who wanted a massive extension, was given the non-exclusive franchise tag, which allows him to negotiate and potentially accept an offer with another team.

The Ravens would have the ability to match that offer, but it appears Jackson is not happy with how the organization has handled his negotiations.

A former league MVP, Jackson has dealt with injuries the past two seasons, and Baltimore has fallen short of expectations because of it. There is no doubt that the team is much better when he is healthy and playing, but the Ravens seem unwilling to give him the guaranteed money that he is looking for.

While several teams have come out and said they are not pursuing Jackson, it is possible that the quarterback’s trade request could revitalize his market this offseason.
