Adam Schefter makes Bryce Young NFL draft bettors happy
Odds for who will be the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft have seen some wild swings recently, with C.J. Stroud taking the top spot away from Bryce Young momentarily before Young steamrolled past him to reclaim a firm grip as the outright betting favorite to go No. 1.
If Adam Schefter was a betting man (no idea if he is or isn’t), he’d tell you the smart money is to bet the favorite.
Schefter, appearing on NFL Live, said, in reference to Young visiting the Houston Texas, who have the No. 2 overall pick, “I think it’s a waste of time. I think that ship has sailed. I think Bryce Young is going to be the No. 1 pick.”
Schefter isn’t the only one.
When the Panthers traded up to the No. 1 pick in early March, Stroud jumped Young to become the outright betting favorite. That remained the case until Monday when Young reclaimed his place as the outright favorite to go No. 1. Since then, his odds have widened, giving even more reason to suspect Vegas (and Schefter) know what they’re talking about.
If you don’t want to bet your own money on Young to win, Caesars is currently offering up to a $1,250 bet for new users. All you have to do to claim it is click this link to sign up, use promo code FanSidedFULL when you sign up, verify your identity and deposit at least $10. Then you can bet up to $1,250 on Young to go No. 1 and you’ll get your money back in bonus bets if he doesn’t go No. 1 or you’ll win around $500 if he does go No. 1.
It certainly seems like Young is the runaway favorite to be the first overall pick and win you some money. Vegas knew it first, but Schefter is rarely wrong on these things.
