7 Highlights From Salone del Mobile 2023: Bottega Veneta, Prada, and More
Jonathan Anderson is one of the few fashion designers actively committed to traditional craft, sourcing global artisans to have a hand in his work at Loewe through the Loewe Craft Prize, and, naturally, Salone. This time around, Loewe takes on the humble stick chair, an often overlooked piece of furniture that is nevertheless an indelible part of history. Thirty chairs, 22 of which are vintage, have been wrapped, reimagined, and coiled in leather, foil, shearling, and raffia, all in a slew of Loewe-approved colors that uplift the quotidian piece of furniture to its rightful status as an art piece. The exhibit also includes a selection of bags inspired by the chairs, furthering the circularity of Loewe’s collective art, fashion, and design ethos.
