Jim Irsay won’t let Anthony Richardson stop him from drafting Will Levis
Jim Irsay had the audacity to tweet out the idea of his Indianapolis Colts drafting Will Levis only a day after taking Anthony Richardson No. 4 overall!
I tried to be nice, but my goodness gracious, the Indianapolis Colts are an absolute train wreck with Jim Irsay as the most impulsive owner of all time.
My criticism of all things Colts for the last few seasons has been well-documented. They have become a complete clown show since Philip Rivers retired. Carson Wentz is the most inherently reckless quarterback I have ever seen in my entire life. Y’all somehow found a way to keep Matt Ryan from ever getting into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He is my generation’s Boomer Esiason.
Not even 24 hours ago, y’all made a fantastic selection by taking Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson at No. 4 overall. Richardson is a massive boom-or-bust pick, but I thought he was the right guy for you. It seemed as though Irsay, general manager Chris Ballard and head coach Shane Steichen were united in all things Richardson going forward. Then, look what the cat dragged in…
How can an owner of an NFL team possibly tweet out this hot garbage to make your new franchise quarterback want to spite quit on you on the spot? This is so beyond unacceptable…
At this point, I would totally understand if Ballard and even Steichen decided they are done, too.
Jim Irsay is a walking catastrophe as the owner of the Indianapolis Colts
I’m not going to say what everyone else is thinking, but maybe the Colts need a change-of-guard in the ownership realm yesterday? We would have had no issue if y’all went with Will Levis No. 4 out of Kentucky over Richardson, but to debase the guy you just drafted because you want to try a Joe Montana-Steve Young experiment would be a fireable offense for everyone, but an idiot owner.
At this point, let Pat McAfee and the boys run the team. This is so beyond embarrassing for not only Colts fans, but for NFL fans in general. I didn’t think the bar could get any lower than hiring Jeff Saturday with no coaching experience off the street to replace Frank Reich, but here we are, dude. You are making a mockery of a young man’s dream in Richardson. How freaking dare you!
Maybe there is a reason why John Elway refused to play for your father in Baltimore? I am truly astounded that someone of your stature could so shamelessly marginalize a young man like this. I would ask to be traded right this instant if I were Richardson. Go head and draft Levis. Maybe he will be what Jeff George wasn’t for you? The NFL Draft is about the players, and never the owner!
This is a complete embarrassment and I don’t think Roger Goodell and the league office are happy.
