Taylor Swift Has Reportedly ‘Moved On’ From Joe Alwyn and Is ‘Feeling Great’ With New Matt Healy Romance
On Thursday, Taylor Swift was seen with rumored boyfriend Matt Healy on a double date with pal Jack Antonoff and his fiancée, Margaret Qualley, at Casa Cipriani in New York City. The new couple were reportedly holding hands and being very affectionate at the table. A source recently told ET that Antonoff actually reconnected Healy and Swift, after the latter two shared a brief flirtation with each other many years ago.
Since then, Swift went on to date British actor Joe Alwyn. After six years together, they split just before Swift commenced her Eras Tour. This past month, Healy has been spotted at Swift’s concerts in Nashville and Philadelphia, even playing guitar in the opening acts for those shows. In January, Swift also made a surprise appearance at London’s O2 Arena for Healy’s band The 1975, performing her track “Anti-Hero” and a cover of The 1975’s “The City.”
A source recently told People, “Taylor is happy. She’s very focused on her tour but is enjoying hanging out with Matty when she is off… They’re hanging out and having a good time. It’s not just platonic.”
Another inside told ET that Swift is “enjoying her time with Matty.”
They added, “Taylor and Matty have known each other and have history, so there’s a comfortability factor there, but also feelings of excitement.”
They went on to say that the Midnights singer “has moved on from Joe and is feeling great and confident.”
It was rumored that the alleged couple dated in 2014, though Healy said it was “all fake” in an interview later that year, but in 2016 he admitted in an interview with Q magazine, that they had a “flirtation.”
Healy also mentioned Swift in November of 2022 in an interview with KROQ’s Klein/Ally Show for Audacy’s DTS Sound Space, saying he collaborated on Swift’s most recent album.
“We actually worked a bit on that but then the version of it never came out,” Healy explained, leading to boos from the crowd. He defended her, explaining, “It was for reasons that are not to be criticized…She’s amazing.”
