Patrick Mahomes waited for perfect moment to clap back at Ja’Marr Chase

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes found the perfect moment to respond to Ja’Marr Chase’s disrespectful comment.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow said it best. There’s really no argument these days as to who the best quarterback in football is. It’s Patrick Mahomes. Next question.

Yet, that didn’t stop Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase from backing his signal-caller. It was admirable, really, as Chase was quoted saying “Pat who?”

Mahomes and the Chiefs will take any and all the motivation they can get as they try to defend their Super Bowl title in 2023. Repeating as champions, rather than suffering a Super Bowl hangover, is the ultimate goal.

On Thursday night, Mahomes and KC received their Super Bowl rings. It was the perfect moment for Mahomes to clap back at Cincinnati.

Game, Mahomes.

Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes responds to Ja’Marr Chase in an epic way

It’s clear the Bengals are salty for their AFC Championship Game loss in what they coined “Burrowhead”. While Joe Burrow has the head-to-head advantage over Mahomes at this early point in their career, there isn’t much of an argument as to who is the better overall QB. It’s Mahomes, and then there’s everyone else.

Tyler Boyd went as far as to suggest that the Bengals would have defeated the Chiefs had he been able to stay healthy.

“Still to this day, I feel like if I would have played the whole game, I was the key factor,” Boyd said. “We would’ve won the game.”

Boyd went on to reference other depth players who were forced out, specifically on the offensive line. While the Pitt product is right that Cincinnati was shorthanded, so is every team at that point in the season. There’s no reason to make excuses now.

Mahomes and KC hear it all. They are the team to beat for a reason.
