Tyreek Hill being investigated for allegedly hitting man at marina
The Miami-Dade Police Department is investigating Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill for allegedly striking a man at the Haulover Marina.
Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is currently under investigation by the Miami-Dade Police Department for allegedly punching a man at the Haulover Marina this past weekend.
According to WPLG Local 10 News in Miami, Hill got into a disagreement with an employee at one of the charter companies at Haulover Marina on Sunday around 6:00 p.m. ET. That disagreement ended up with Hill striking the man. It’s unknown if the employee was injured, per Local 10 News.
Andy Slater of FOX Sports 640 tweeted on Tuesday that Hill allegedly slapped the employee in the back of the head during their argument, which he says stemmed from when the wide receiver “tried boarding the boat without permission.” Additionally, Slater reports that the employee doesn’t want to press charges “at this time.”

The Dolphins did release a statement through a spokesperson about the allegations Hill is facing, via ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques.
“We are aware of the situation and have been in contact with Tyreek, his representatives, and the NFL,” the statement read. “We will reserve further comment at this time.”
Hill is set to enter his second season with the Dolphins after the team acquired him from the Kansas City Chiefs last year and signed him to a four-year, $120 million contract extension. In his first year with Miami, Hill caught 119 passes for 1,710 yards and seven touchdowns on 170 targets. Hill and the Dolphins made it to the playoffs as a Wild Card team, where they were eliminated by the Buffalo Bills in the Wild Card Round.
