Emily Ratajkowski Wore a Sultry Black Dress With Multiple Cutouts and a High Leg Slit

Emily Ratajkowski has made her presence in London known with one of her most striking evening dresses of the year.

The model stepped out in a black embellished Self Portrait cutout dress with a high leg slit for British Vogue and Self Portrait’s summer party at Chiltern Firehouse last night. She accessorized with Jimmy Choo high heels and styled her hair in a high bun. It was an elegant but sultry party look, and EmRata knew just how to pose in it:

This has been one of Ratajkowski’s biggest years beyond her fashion event appearances, with the model starting her podcast High Low last October and making her views on sex and love more public than ever. It comes at a time where she is personally navigating being single for an extended period after being, by her own description, a serial monogamist.

Ratajkowski spoke to ELLE in March about handling the heightened media attention and public interest in her love life, along with some tabloids’ misrepresentation of her relationships. “I’m definitely in a giving-no-fucks period of my life,” she started. “I was playing with my son, building his magnet tiles with him, and I was like, ‘Huh, I wonder if I’m going to come out of this period and be like, Damn, I really give a fuck now, and I wish I had handled things differently.’…On the Olivia Ponton [episode of my podcast], I made a joke about how I attract the worst men. And immediately it’s put into the context of somebody I dated very briefly…It’s so frustrating because everything’s taken completely out of context. That episode was recorded months ago.”

She also addressed her overall hopes with her work and podcast: “I want to change the way that we think about femme-presenting people in the world,” she said. “That is my goal. I think that we have these associations around the feminine that are so problematic, and it’s affecting men as well. It’s affecting all of us. And it’s really important to me that that changes. That’s what I’m most interested in doing and the impact that I hope to have long-term.”
