Lindsay Lohan and Husband Bader Shammas Have Welcomed Their First Baby

Lindsay Lohan is officially a mother. The actress’ rep confirmed to People that she welcomed a baby boy with husband Bader Shammas. “Lindsay Lohan and her financier husband, Bader Shammas, welcomed a beautiful, healthy son named Luai,” the rep said. “The family is over the moon in love.”

People notes that the name Luai is Arabic and means “shield or protector.” He was born in Dubai, but his exact date of birth has been kept private at this point. Lohan has not yet posted about the news on her social media.

She did share a photo of herself on her Instagram during her late pregnancy inside the nursery she designed for her baby. Lohan shared the post on July 12. “So excited to show you my nursery & the collection I designed with @nestigbaby! Everything is inspired by the beach and is so peaceful and playful 😊” she wrote in the caption. “I loved working with @nestigbaby to create my dream nursery—everything is handmade and perfect for any little one in your life!”

Lohan also recently spoke to Allure about her feelings on her impending motherhood. “I can’t wait to see what the feeling is and what it’s like to just be a mom,” the actress said, adding she always felt maternal toward her siblings as the oldest child. She said she had been crying more lately because she has been so emotionally moved by simple gestures. “Happy tears. That’s just who I am,” she explained. “Though now, it’s probably baby emotion. It’s overwhelming in a good way.”
