A Source Close to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Speaks Out on Breakup Rumors

For the past couple weeks, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry divorce rumors have been popping up on social media, unverified celebrity gossip outlet DeuxMoi, and just yesterday, Radar Online, a tabloid that claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were “taking time apart.” Page Six got intel from a source close to the couple, who called out the breakup talk as fiction. “It’s not true, it’s literally made up,” the source said.

The fictional rumors include Radar claiming Meghan and Harry are having a trial separation as Harry goes to Africa to film a documentary on his own. One source said, “The Sussexes are under tremendous financial pressure to fund their lavish California lifestyle, including their $14 million mansion and huge security costs. That stress coupled with their emotional issues has likely made life a living hell. Taking time apart on different continents will hopefully help them find whatever they need to move on.”

Page Six also pointed out that DeuxMoi had run an anonymous tip about Meghan and Harry having “sold their mansion in Montecito,” and Harry “living in another place.”

On DeuxMoi’s latest podcast episode, guest Enty, the entertainment lawyer who runs Crazy Days and Nights, another unverified blind-item site, claimed that he thought a separation was possible in the future, alleging that Meghan and Harry have different work ethics and aspirations.

Regarding them divorcing, “If you’d had asked me a year ago, I’d say no. But if you ask me now, I’d say maybe. It just feels like she wants certain things. and she’s like, I’ve got this all in my hand. I’ve got the biggest agency in the world finding me projects and stuff. I don’t really need Harry…there’s really nothing for us to promote together.” He added, “I think Harry’s getting in her way.”

In reality, Meghan and Harry were seen out with their family on the Fourth of July. The couple has generally kept a low profile, living their lives privately in California with their two children.

Us Weekly reported at the end of June that Harry and Meghan were annoyed at the media’s treatment of them after their Spotify deal ended. “It seems to be one assault after another these days, with people lining up to take cheap shots at them,” one source said. “Quite frankly, both she and Harry are sick and tired of it.”

Another added that Meghan and Harry have “a ton of exciting things in the pipeline. [They’re] ready to come back stronger.”
