Selena Gomez and Francia Raisa Go Out On Friend Date In Los Angeles
On Friday, Selena Gomez shared a bunch of snaps from her night out with friend Francia Raisa. It looked like the pair went to Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Los Angeles together, joined by Gomez’s friend Theresa Marie Mingus and a few other buds.
But it was Raisa and Gomez who unintentionally twinned. The How I Met Your Father actress posted a snap of her and Gomez’s matching leopard print high heels. Gomez shared the image before Raisa reposted it in her Stories, writing, “No beef, just salsa,” adding, “(This was not planned).”
The comments seem to refer to the reported falling out between Gomez and Raisa last year. The pair were very close and Raisa even donated a kidney to Gomez, who needed a transplant following her lupus diagnosis. They seemed to have some sort of conflict after Gomez referred to Taylor Swift as her “only friend” in the music industry, and a social media post from E! News about the interview with Rolling Stone caused Raisa to write “interesting” in the Instagram comments.
On a TikTok about the conflict, Gomez wrote, “Sorry I didn’t mention every person I know.”
However, in March on an episode of Apple TV+’s documentary series Dear…, Gomez called Raisa her “best friend” and said that she is “in debt” to her forever for her kidney donation.
“Within three days, she went to get tested, and she was a match. And it was one of those moments where I felt watched over,” Gomez said. “I know I was so, so, so lucky.”
And last month, she celebrated Raisa’s birthday on her Instagram.
“Happiest of birthdays to this special human beings. No matter where life takes us, I love you. ❤️ @franciaraisa,” Gomez wrote in her caption.
Their night out on Friday signaled things are back on track. Raisa shared another shot of herself at the restaurant, smiling happily.
And Gomez had her own picture taken behind a large glass of white wine.
She also shared a photo of her outfit for the night, a long-sleeved black minidress with a thigh slit and a turtleneck.
And of course the leopard print heels.
