Dua Lipa is currently out of office and on a boat, enjoying a truly enviable vacation “sailing through the Peloponnese ⚓️.” The singer shared a new gallery of photos, most of which feature her wearing different swimsuits by or in the water. But perhaps the most notable shot in the Instagram carousel is one of her in a black bikini, cuddling with her boyfriend Romain Gavras at sunset. The photo serves as a rare, sweet glimpse at their life together:
On the beach fashion front, Lipa showed off a gray plaid string bikini in her first image and a yellow triangle bikini top, paired with red shorts in a later image:

The singer spoke a bit about her identity and the image she projects as a pop star in her Dazed interview earlier this year. Her public persona is a fine balance between real and polished. “I love the main pop-girl energy,” Lipa said. “It’s so fun for the fans and the character. I can be that girl; I can do that for the videos, for the red carpet, for the performances. For me there’s a time and a place to do that. There are so many sides to me that I also love to embody.”
When asked whether it is easier or harder to be a pop star now in the social media age, Lipa said it was a mix of both. The tabloid and paparazzi attention is “pretty relentless. It’s always trying to catch you out in a bad way, because it’s what sells,” she said. “Social media has its downfalls, but it’s a really good way for people to take their own rhetoric into their own hands.”
