Man blamed for 'releasing curse into the world' after digging up time capsule – The Mirror

A homeowner has taken to social media to share the ‘creepy’ time capsule he dug up in his garden, as users urge him to put it back where he found it before he lives to regret it
A man got the shock of his life after uncovering a 'cursed' time capsule in his yard while gardening. He said that he came across a dirty jar sealed shut with tape – and decided to dig it out of the ground using a knife.
After cleaning it up, he saw something floating in the brown liquid inside, piquing his interest even further. He said on Imgur: "I opened the container. Its strong oily aromatic smell hit me.
"I went for some gloves and tweezers. Dumped it all on some mesh. [There was] some papers with things written [on it]. It was all in some oily aromatic stuff. It had some leaves and one chilly (this was no sauce)."
Disturbingly, he then saw two small ragdolls – one white and one black – tied together with string. He took the dolls inside to clean them up and tried to piece together the note that sat alongside them in the jar.
"There was gooey oily stuff, along the ragdoll and container. What the f***?," he added. "I washed the paper bits carefully and started forming names. I don't know any of these people (all males) and the handwriting does not belong to any family members. I suspect this was buried by some house employees some time ago."
While most users urged him to put the jar and dolls back where he found them, others encouraged him to 'open up the dolls' to see whether anything has been hidden inside them. After the post resurfaced on Reddit, one Imgur user said: "Witchcraft has about as much power as God. But if you’re really worried buy some sage and smudge the house. It’s like a counter curse."
Another user added: "You'll probably find other stuff inside the 'dolls'. A third user said: "As a witch, I can confidently say that’s a poppet! Doll used to tie an intent or spell to a person or thing; not always used for evil!" One more user added: "Time to move."
