'My cheeky neighbour stole our delivery then tried to sell it back to us' – The Mirror

A man is seething with his ‘cheeky’ neighbour after realising they’d stolen his delivery, all thanks to a long note they left offering to sell him his own parcel
There is nothing more frustrating than ordering a product online and then never actually receiving it. Whether it's gone missing in transit or been delivered incorrectly, waiting eagerly for your item only to find it's never going to arrive can be infuriating, and you're left having to reorder it again.
But one man was left confused when an order of some landscaping fabric he'd bought online for his company had gone missing – only to receive a 'cheeky' note from his neighbour a few days later, offering to sell him some landscaping fabric "that had been delivered by accident" and see if he was interested in buying it off them.
He was asked if he wanted to "buy the last roll" or even "trade something" for it, leaving him completely baffled. The neighbour even casually included the brand of the fabric, just to add more salt to the wound, rubbing it in the man's face even more – and confirming to him it definitely was his missing order.
Sharing the handwritten note on Reddit, signed off with a smiley face, the disgruntled resident was less than impressed. "Hi! I'm Sam, I live down the street. A few weeks ago, we got some landscaping fabric delivered to us by accident, we have one roll left if you are interested in buying it. We are selling it but if you wanted to trade something for it we could work something out. Text me if you're interested," the note said.
Many Reddit users suggested the man should inform the police as it's "illegal to tamper with someone's mail", one user commented: "I'd file a police report anyway. Don't threaten, just do it. Say here's the record number, you have three days to pay up or I will file in small claims court on this date. Have a good one smiley face," whilst another joked: "Rip it out of their yard, and then offer to sell it back to them."
